The EMpact Leadership Summit
June 16, 2009

The EMpact Leadership SummitOn June 16th, 13 young ladies, who were selected out of the thousands of girls in Garland County, will attend the prestigious EMpact Leadership Summit, a comprehensive leadership development program sponsored by EMwomen International and various businesses throughout the community. As the students and parents attended the orientation meeting for the summit, excitement was high as each young lady was told about her opportunity to emerge as an excellent leader, as well as have the chance to win valuable scholarships and prizes that promote future leadership.

Summit Director, Laurie Rushing, a 2 year veteran of EMwomen and President of the Hot Springs Board of Realtors, states, "The EMpact Leadership Summit is like nothing I have ever seen in leadership development. This program has the potential to change the way we prepare students, and even adults, for future employment, life skills, and give our community businesses a new pool of emerging leaders and employees to choose from. The girls that will benefit from this first summit will be a testament to the amazing character-based programs offered by EMwomen and its partners."  Read More>>
EMwomen is EMpowering Tomorrow's Leaders Today
March 17, 2009

EMwomen International, an organization of Hot Springs, Arkansas, has launched a comprehensive leadership development program called "Redefining Beautiful" for High School Girls in Garland County. Last week, at assemblies held in Garland County High Schools, Staci Wallace, founder of EMwomen and EMgirls, offered hundreds of girls a chance to win college scholarships, prizes, recognition, and the opportunity to attend a life-changing 6 week leadership development program called "EMpact Leadership Summit" to be held this summer.

This week, Wallace, along with EMwomen's Biggest Loser, Denise Gerrich, who has lost 113 pounds in 8 months through EMwomen, had girls on their feet at Cutter Morning Star during another assembly held on Wednesday. "I have never had a mentor like her before", stated one of the young ladies at Wednesday's assembly. "Staci and her story made me believe that I can change and that my life has the potential to change the world. I am excited to enter this contest and hope my friends do too!" Read More>>

"Redefining Beautiful" Scholarship Program and Leadership Summit
March 11, 2009

EMwomen International, a non-profit organization founded by Larry and Staci Wallace of Hot Springs, Arkansas is passionately dedicated to leadership development of women and girls in Garland County. On Monday, EMwomen officially launched the “Redefining Beautiful” Scholarship Program and the EMpact Leadership Summit with the goal of overturning the state's disparaging statistics for women's leadership, health, and economic development in Arkansas.

By holding assemblies at each of the high schools in Garland County, EMwomen (Empowering Women) is encouraging girls age 16-19 to enter the "Redefining Beautiful" essay contest and leadership development program. Girls are encouraged to tell how their life stories and vision for change have the potential to impact their community and the world. This week, Lakeside High School held their assembly with over 300 Junior High and High School girls in attendance. "We are so excited to watch how this program affects the leadership and social development of the girls who get to attend." said Principle Bruce Orr. Other schools in Garland County will be holding their assemblies over the next two weeks. Read More>>

Women can have children, hold down a marriage and still achieve any goals they set for themselves if they have the motivation to ride out the tough times in life and keep striving for a better day ahead, according to the panel of speakers at this year's EMwomen's Nation EMerge Conference and Expo.

Staci Wallace, a Hot Springs resident and founder of EMwomen, a global organization founded by Wallace and her husband to inspire females to find a balance between their personal and professional lives that will allow them to live positive lives while excelling at the multiple roles they play in life, brought the event to the Hot Springs Convention Center on Saturday to inspire women to change their lives today with motivational speakers at Horner Hall and a business expo. It's Not Over Till YOU Win!
Wednesday, July 9, 2008

Yesterday, several of my favorite HYC bloggers shared personal struggles - either to stay on track, to get back on track, or to figure out what the heck a track is. Isn't it comforting to have friends who share our struggles as well as our successes?

A few days ago, I told you about Staci Wallace, a remarkable woman whose equally talented husband has joined her to found an online community called EMwomen.com. Their goal is to equip a million women to make positive life changes in the areas of faith, family, finances, fitness and philanthropy in order to change the world. Read More>>

Staci and Larry Wallace launch online community to empower women.

By Rebecca McCormick

Nationally acclaimed motivational speaker, author and life coach, Staci Wallace, 38, admits people don’t easily relate to a perfect Barbie-type role model. “They can, however, identify with someone who has overcome a difficult situation,” she says, relating her personal victory over depression and suicide. “The rodeo cowboy I had idolized in my early twenties left me after only seven months of marriage,” she confesses. “Until then, I had been able to fix anything. Despite all my previous successes, the divorce left me broken and empty.”

The longer we talked, the less Wallace fit the “perky pageant girl with a platform” profile I had assigned her before our interview. “During those dark days, I withdrew from the public spotlight of the country music world,” she explains, “cocooning myself from the risk of being hurt again. In desperation, I made a deal with God that if he would heal my heart, I would no longer use my voice just to make money. Instead, I vowed to use my life to empower others.” Staci survived that dark season of life. Shortly afterward, she wrote the lyrics to “It’s Not Over,” a song confirming her will to live and a desire to make her life count for more than material success. Read More>>
